MEET THE INSTRUCTORS
Welcome to the studio, where we believe that Every Body can benefit from Pilates!
Since earning a Masters Degree in Counselor Education from Stetson, Chrissy has worked with children and families in the child welfare system. As a Pilates student she was enlightened to the benefits of the mind body connection for complete well being. She is STOTT PILATES Level 1 certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. She is also trained in The Pilates Suspension Method, and the STOTT PILATES Advanced Repertoire in Mat and Reformer.
Emily enjoys exploring the world of health and fitness and believes that Pilates has transformed her everyday movement. She has received her Bachelors and Masters degree in Exceptional Student Education. Though since having her son, Brooks, in 2020 and her daughter, Ada, in 2022, Emily has devoted more time to being a mom, Pilates, and whole body wellness. Emily is also STOTT PILATES Level 1 certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels.
Emylee is a DeLand native who enjoys helping people move efficiently and feel better physically. She played collegiate volleyball while studying Business Marketing and Sports Management. When not in the studio, you will find Emylee on the golf course, surfing or working on home improvements. Emylee is STOTT PILATES Level 1 certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels. Emylee is also working toward her Level 2 Certification.
“The most important shot in golf is the next one” is Kayla Lawrence’s favorite saying as a professional golfer playing on various tours. A Division 1 golfer at University of Tulsa where she studied Psychology, she went on to earn an MBA from University of Texas at El Paso where she coached the Women’s Golf team. She fell in love with Pilates when she saw the benefits it brought to her game. Kayla is STOTT PILATES Level 1 certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair and Barrels and is Pilates Suspension Method/TRX qualified. Kayla is also trained in STOTT Injuries and Special Populations.
Jenn became passionate about Pilates after seeing the benefits it provided her after 4 years of practice. She loves spending time with her husband (and best friend), Marc, her three kids, Lauren, Ryan and Emily, and her two adorable dogs, in addition to doing Pilates and reading. Jenn is STOTT trained in Reformer and looking forward to continuing her training as a STOTT instructor. When she is not at DeLand Pilates, she is working as a Director of Tools and Technology at Comcast or cheering on her kids at a swim meet or softball tournament.
Missy is a STOTT PILATES Level 2 Instructor certified in Essential, Intermediate and Advanced Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels. She is educated in Injuries and Special Populations, with years of experience training clients who have had joint replacements, have spinal conditions, and neurological conditions such as Parkinsons, as well as training athletes with an eye to improving their golf and tennis games and compete in Ironmans. She is also TRX qualified. Missy found pilates to be the perfect complement to running, walking, and tennis.
