Chrissy Curtis
Owner, Instructor
Since earning her master’s degree in Counselor Education from Stetson University, Chrissy has dedicated her career to supporting the well-being of children and families affected by the child welfare system. Her journey into Pilates began with a personal discovery of the profound benefits of the mind-body connection, which ultimately inspired her to pursue a new path in holistic wellness. As the owner and operator of DeLand Pilates, Chrissy blends her background in counseling with a passion for mindful movement. She holds a Full Certification in STOTT PILATES®, including advanced training in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Barrels, and Injuries and Special Populations. In addition, she is trained in the Pilates Suspension Method, allowing her to offer a comprehensive and inclusive approach to fitness and rehabilitation.

Emily Biegler
Instructor
Emily is passionate about health and fitness and believes that Pilates has truly transformed her everyday movement. With both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Exceptional Student Education, she’s always had a deep commitment to helping others. Since becoming a mother, Emily has focused more on balancing motherhood with Pilates and overall wellness. She is STOTT PILATES® Level 2 Certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels, offering a thoughtful and holistic approach to fitness and rehabilitation.

Emylee Gotsch
Instructor
Emylee is a DeLand native with a passion for helping people move more efficiently and feel their best. A former collegiate volleyball player, she studied Business Marketing and Sports Management while honing her dedication to wellness and athletic performance. Emylee is STOTT PILATES® Level 1 Certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels, and is currently pursuing her Level 2 Certification to further expand her expertise. Outside the studio, you’ll likely find her on the golf course, catching waves, or tackling home improvement projects.

Kayla Lawrence
Instructor
“The most important shot in golf is the next one” – a mantra that professional golfer Kayla Lawrence lives by. A former Division I athlete at the University of Tulsa, where she studied Psychology, Kayla went on to earn her MBA at the University of Texas at El Paso while coaching the Women’s Golf Team. Her passion for Pilates began when she experienced firsthand the positive impact it had on her game, both physically and mentally. Kayla is STOTT PILATES® Level 1 Certified in Matwork, Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, and Barrels. She is also trained in STOTT Injuries and Special Populations and is qualified in the Pilates Suspension Method and TRX, bringing a well-rounded, athletic perspective to every session.

Jenn Fantone
Instructor
Jenn discovered her passion for Pilates after experiencing its incredible benefits over four years of dedicated practice. She is STOTT PILATES® trained in Reformer and is excited to continue advancing her training as a certified STOTT PILATES® instructor. When she’s not at DeLand Pilates, Jenn works as the Director of Tools and Technology at Comcast. Outside of work and the studio, she loves spending quality time with her husband and best friend, Marc, and their three amazing kids — Lauren, Ryan, and Emily. You’ll often find Jenn cheering from the sidelines at swim meets and softball tournaments or relaxing with a good book alongside her two adorable dogs. Pilates, family, and personal growth are at the heart of everything Jenn does, and she loves sharing that passion with others.

Jayson LaFortune
Instructor
Jayson is a DeLand native who recently moved back after spending nine years in New York City. He holds a degree in International Trade and Marketing from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and spent the last 10 years working in the fashion industry. Now making the exciting transition into Pilates and physical fitness, Jayson is a NASM-certified personal trainer and currently pursuing his Mat and Reformer certification with the Pilates Education Institute (PEI). Passionate about helping others build strength and balance, he brings creativity, focus, and encouragement to every session. When he’s not in the studio, you can find him playing tennis, working out, reading, traveling, or spending time with his French Bulldog, Oliver.
